Our English language programs assist students in achieving the level of competency required to be successful in their studies. Students have the option of enroling in our English language programs in Rockhampton, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney campuses.
All campuses provide English language tuition in a friendly, relaxed and quality environment. English language students have the same access to university facilities as full degree students, including free Internet and e-mail access, student ID card and access to ongoing support for communication and study skills.
The campuses offer a number of academic English programs for students wanting to commence a full degree program, as well as general English programs for students wanting to learn English for travel or work.
Prospective university students are required to provide evidence of sufficient competence in English to undertake a degree program. As a guide, a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 (computer-based score of 213) or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6 with no individual band score of less than 5, is regarded as being an appropriate minimum level.
The English Language Centre in Rockhampton is also an accredited IELTS Testing Centre and offers tests on a monthly basis.
