Follow the steps below to apply as an international student to CQUniversity.

All applications are screened against the genuine temporary entrant and genuine student criteria as defined by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). All applicants are also required to prove that they have sufficient funds for the duration of their studies at the point of application. To assist the University with our screening obligations, applicants wishing to undertake study in Australia, are required to complete a Coversheet, Financial Declaration and One Page Statement.

Apply Online

You can only apply using our online application if you are seeking admission into an undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, foundation studies or ELICOS program. However you will need to submit the Coversheet, Financial Declaration and One Page Statement with your supporting documents to the return address advised on admission application acknowledgement.

If you are applying for any other category for example a research program, please use our Hard Copy application process.

Applying via Hard Copy

You can apply using our hard copy for admission to all programs or don’t wish to use our online application process.

Step 1 - Download and complete the appropriate application form

Step 2 – Download and complete the Applicant Coversheet, One Page Statement and Financial Declaration

Step 3 - Attach supporting academic and financial evidentiary documentation
Step 4 - Submit your application

If your application is successful, CQUniversity will send an Offer of Admission either directly to you or via your nominated agent. A conditional Offer of Admission will be made to those applicants who are still required to send additional information, such as certified copies of previous qualifications or proof of English proficiency.  All conditions of your offer must be fulfilled prior to the issuance of a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) unless the condition relates to a program being undertaken with our approved packaged partners.

To request a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE)

  • Pay at least one term's tuition fees as per your Offer of Admission.
  • Pay the total Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) amount for the duration of your Student Visa. The Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship requires all student visa holders to have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the entire duration of their student visa. The Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) amount is estimated based on your expected visa duration. Students will be required to finalise any payment variation to this amount upon arrival.
  • Return your signed 'International Student Contract' to CQUniversity. CQUniversity is unable to accept your fees until you have returned the signed contract.
  • Return the COE Checklist with your request for a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE).
