| Course Rationale | |
| This course contains preparatory material for students embarking on a first-year university program such as science or engineering which includes physics. It has been prepared using techniques CQUniversity has developed for distance study and is designed as a bridging course. NB. Some mathematical skills are assumed. Studying Transitional Mathematics may be advisable before commencement of this course. | |
| Presentation | |
| Students are provided with a study guide. This is modelled on a typical distance education subject. It contains coverage of the various topics as well as Review Questions, Self Assessment Questions and Assignments. Students also get study support in that they are welcome to contact the lecturer by phone, letter facsimile or email. | |
| Assessment | |
| There is no compulsory examination for this subject. Students may send in six assignments for continuous assessment and receive a Certificate of Course Completion after assignments are satisfactorily submitted. A supervised examination can be set if the course you are aiming for requires a graded result - check with the course adviser at your target institution. | |
