Professor Kevin Tickle

Congratulations on enrolling in your chosen program and a warm welcome to the Faculty of Arts, Business, Informatics and Education.

Our Faculty offers a broad range of programs to our students, ranging from business and technology through to education, humanities and performing arts. Our experienced staff have a broad range of teaching and research interests across a variety of disciplines, all of which contribute to the exciting synergies that exist across our Faculty and which we use to stimulate and support our teaching, research and professional and community service activities.

The different discipline areas in our Faculty allow you to undertake a wide range of courses within your program. In fact, many of our programs include an elective component where you can satisfy your quest for knowledge and skills in areas that you are interested in, and passionate about. For example, a student enrolled in a Bachelor of Business can take an elective course in jazz or theatre studies, web design or even gothic literature. Our aim is to give you, the student, a broad range of choice to assist you to be what you want to be.

For many of you, this will be your first time studying at University. This initialstep can be a daunting experience, but please remember that there are many other students starting this journey with you, and don't be afraid to ask for help and advice. Our academic and professional staff are always willing to extend a helping hand. It's what our Faculty and CQUniversity are renowned for.

Once again, welcome to our Faculty. We all look forward to supporting you in your studies and contributing to your lifelong learning journey. Personally, I look especially forward to awarding you your degree or other award when you graduate from your studies with us. I hope your experience in the Faculty is everything you hope for, and more!
