CQUniversity Accommodation Scholarship

The Accommodation Scholarship assists low socio-economic students to relocate to Capricornia College Rockhampton or Mackay Student Residential Accommodation by covering the costs of full board (room and meals) at the college. This scholarship is aimed at full-time commencing students in the first year of an undergraduate program.

A number of Accommodation Scholarships are allocated each year to rural and remote students who will need to relocate to commence an undergraduate program on-campus either at Rockhampton or Mackay.

Some scholarships will be available for the duration of a full-time undergraduate program for continuing Accommodation Scholarship recipients who can demonstrate low socio-economic status.

Eligibility

To be eligible students must be:

  • an Australian citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
  • a commencing full-time student studying in on-campus mode at Rockhampton or Mackay
  • able to demonstrate low socio-economic status and/ or be from a rural or remote location.

Mackay campus: Due to room availability Accommodation Scholarships will only be open to applicants already booked into the Mackay College.

Current Scholarship Recipients

Each Scholarship covers the costs of Accommodation for one year. Current recipients of the Accommodation Scholarship may reapply downloading and completing the same Accommodation Scholarship Application Form as for new applicants. You will need to provide additional documents such as Centrelink Income Statement or other relevant financial documents with your application to show that you continue to meet the low socio-economic status eligibility criteria.

Please be aware that commencing students will be given preference.
