Academic Communication

The Communications Learning Centre (CLC) offers assistance (free of charge) to all CQUniversity students, irrespective of mode of study at all levels of tertiary studies.

The CLC helps students to develop language skills in the areas of writing (genres such as essays, reports), referencing and oral communication. We do not provide advice on course content.

CLC staff can only provide generic advice to students. Specific guidelines in the Course Profiles and the Study Guides must be followed at all times.

For your particular course material and study information, visit MyCQU

Please note that the academic essay and report do have specific formats that must be adhered to. The CLC provides advice on general format; however, students must be guided by lecturers' requirements regarding their preferred format.
