The Pathways project is an initiative which is funded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) in partnership with CQUniversity Australia. The aim of the project is to facilitate seamless and successful career pathways in mining and engineering for people within the Central Queensland Region. It is composed of two teams, one in Mackay which focuses on Mining Careers and one in Gladstone which focuses on Industrial Engineering.
Gladstone Region Engineering Careers (GReEn Careers) is a project designed to assist in the facilitation, development and enhancement of engineering career pathways in Central Queensland.
The purpose of the Project is to improve on existing and create new education and training pathways between high schools, TAFE, RTOs and higher education sectors for the Central Queensland Region. This includes identifying and working in collaboration with each sector, providing opportunities to create new services and adding value to existing services.
Our vision is to facilitate seamless and successful Engineering Career Pathways in the Central Queensland Region, with opportunities for workplace based learning, and an emphasis on environmental and sustainable engineering.
The Pathways Project will benefit participants by enhancing career choices in the Engineering profession with improved and transparent articulation and credit transfer processes and in the development of customised education and training activities.
