This presentation provides an overview of funding opportunities available for grant applications from Carrick Institute for Learning & Teaching in Higher Education.

Biographical information

Dr Elizabeth McDonald is the Director for the Grants Scheme initiative with the Australian Learning & Teaching Council (Formerly Carrick Institute for Learning & Teaching in Higher Education) and was Company Secretary from June 2004-June 2006. She worked on the establishment of the Carrick Institute during 2005 and was appointed as Director of the Grants Scheme in January 2006. Before coming to The Carrick Institute, she managed the Teaching and Learning Unit, Higher Education, Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) 2003-2004. Between 2000 and 2003 she held various positions in Higher Education at DEST, including leading the National Nursing Review Secretariat and managing two grant programmes. She chaired reference groups for five DEST research projects, and commissioned 21 research papers to support the Nursing Education Review.
