This page is designed to provide an assortment of links to high quality teaching Websites. Some of these may be academic papers while others provide broad information about aspects of teaching and learning. Each link is annotated to give you an idea of the information available.

This Sword & Leggott (2007) paper from Innovate: Journal of online education takes the Chickering & Gamson (1987) 7 Principles for Good Practice in Undergraduate Teaching and relates them to educating "Generation X".
- Rubric for Online Instruction (ROI)

California State University Chico, came up with a Rubric for Online Instruction (ROI) that is now used with over 92 institutions world wide. The ROI does not give explicit examples, but it does give faculty a framework for good online instruction. The rubric can be found in the PDF document listed in the menu on the left of the webpage above. A DVD has also been created to talk about how the rubric was created for Chico and each institution is encouraged to make the rubric "their own."
