Vilification is a public act that incites others to hate or to severely ridicule individuals because of their race, religion, sexuality or gender identity.
Vilification would normally require four elements in the above definition, being: a public act; that incites; hatred towards or severe ridicule of a person or group of people; on grounds of race, religion, sexuality or gender identity
Serious vilification is a criminal offence which should be reported to the Police
